Team up with their highest rival, of course. <span id="more-403"></span>Spring Design has teamed up with Borders to sell the Alex reader, a half e-reader and half Android tablet. There&#8217;s no need to root your e-reader anymore to get a fully-functional browser. Borders will provide retail space for the tablet/e-reader as well as make some mobile e-reader applications. Also, the price of the e-reader now officially falls $40, making it $359, or $100 more expensive that it&#8217;s counterpart. Launch date is 2/22.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Typically, no one expect a monitor maker to launch <em>so many</em> products at CES, but ViewSonic just did, launching a torrent of laptops, netbooks, media players, HDTVs, among others.<span id="more-310"></span> Some things are entirely new, like the ViewLED TV lineup &#8211; which consist of four LED backlit televisons for the masses. Starting at $299 for 19&#8243; and going up to 42&#8243; for a good $1,199, the TVs are new here at CES, but sharing the space with ViewSonic&#8217;s other new products, including a whole new line of MediaBooks, which are sub $150 5&#8243; tablets, as well as a new ViewBook Pros, and nettops. It&#8217;s far too many to describe, and you can see most pictures below.</p>
