The first pictures have emerged about the Celsius X VI II mechanical cell phone, the Papillon. The phone, which will be announced at the Baselworld watch show in Switzerland, will cost an arm and a leg ($300,000) and have the most intricate micro-mechanics of any gadget in modern history. In a a slightly old article in PCMag, co-founder Alejandro Ricart said, “We want to take the useful functions of the cell phone and try to re-think them, and re-create them in a mechanical way.”

For those that are rich enough to pay for it, they’ll notice that the body is mostly transparent, so the owner can see the mechanical guts of the phone they paid so much for. More will be unveiled next week, but until then the phone is still shrouded is mystery, even with pictures.

Gallery after the break.

At The Engadget Show, Aaron Woodman, director of consumer experiences for Microsoft’s mobile division, shocked the world by pulling out a LG prototype phone running Windows Phone 7 Series. You can view all the pictures of the phone here.

There’s not much for specs, but it is a trifle bit thicker than an iPhone or Nexus One, has six hardware buttons, a slide out QWERTY keyboard, and a 5MP camera. He wouldn’t confirm it had any Mac support, but he didn’t toss it to the curb. At least now we have an idea for the future of Windows Mobile hardware.

Update: There’s also a short snippet of it being on the Engadget Show. See below.

Think of the NIMble as nearly the same as the Nimble, made by the same company – Touch Revolution. Only this time, the NIMble will be sold to consumers for $300 later this year. It’s also a platform, just like the Nimble. The device is a touch screen desktop tablet and phone, and features a seven inch multi-touch screen. Touch Revolution also has made their own software for the tablet for home networking and entertainment. Currently released specs include a 624Mhz processor, SD expansion slot, WiFi, and Bluetooth. Look for the NIMble in September for $10 to $20 per month contract or without.
