Dell announces sub-$1000 Alienware notebook

8:56 pm in CES, Computers by Sina Hamedian

This laptop brings high end PCs a little lower price. Usually when you thought of Alienware, you thought of the highest end desktop or 17″ bulky desktop replacements notebooks. Not any more. Dell has just launched the M11x ultraportable gaming netbook. This little netbook can get up to 50FPS on Crysis, 30FPS on Call of Duty, 6.5 hours battery life (energy saver) or 2 hours maximum in gaming mode. There are 2 GPUs in this netbook, which allow you to toggle energy settings for gaming performance without logout or restart, unlike the MacBook Pros, which make you logout. 3DMark scores around 6K to 7K. Coming later this year.
