Opera 10.5: Fastest browser to date?

The developers of Opera have announced the Opera 10.5 pre-alpha release today for Windows and Intel based Macs. The browser is crazy fast compared other browser (final and unstable) versions today. In the Javascript test performed by Lifehacker, as seen above, Opera 10.5 puts other browser to shame. Version 10.10 didn’t introduce that many changes for speed and rendering as 10.5 is doing.  gHacks also compared SunSpider and V8 benchmark results, of both, Opera 10.5 tied with Chrome and put Firefox 3.6 beta 1 (now outdated) to shame. If you consider beta testing and pre-releases to be part of normal life, you can give the new browser a try here. Among the drastic differences in speed include even faster page rendering, new Private browsing tabs and pages, a slightly new look, and even more. However, if you giving this a try on a Mac (Intel only), the Javascript speed differences won’t be so big as if you try it on Windows.
